Sanjaya WEERAKKODY

Sanjaya WEERAKKODY visited us from Sri Lanka, where he is a PhD student.  His thesis at the University of Colombo, advised by Dr. Sampath Seneviratne, and externally advised by Prof. Goodale, focuses on gene flow and vocal plasticity and their role in maintaining species limits among the drongos of Sri Lanka. He received his bachelor’s degree from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2017, specialized in Zoology. In past work he has studied the spatial ecology of Western Purple-faced Langur and human-monkey conflicts in Sri Lanka.
